Waltham Abbey aggravated robbery leaves man with broken jaw
Witnesses are wanted following where a man sustained who a broken jaw following a masked and armed aggravated robbery.
Essex Police were called at around 3.20pm, Friday 27 September, after several men entered the rear of a property in Greenfield Street, Waltham Abbey.
They then searched the property and entered one of the rooms where they confronted a woman who was sleeping.
One of the suspects, described as being of a large build and black, then threatened a man inside.
He attempted to take a knife from the suspect’s hand but missed and was punched and had an unknown liquid thrown into his face.
The suspects ran off with his phone.
Officers believe the victim gave chase and armed himself with a pole.
It is understand he struck and smashed the rear windscreen of the escape vehicle, possible a black BMW.
